Testimony:
Well... I grew up with life being kind of rough. Never really had anything, had
a hard time getting things that we needed. Just to cut things short about my
parents, they have some problems. We moved quite a bit, and I lived mostly with
my grandmother. I went to church with her alot, but never really found it
interesting or just didn't like going.. Maybe it was just me being a lil' kid.
After I was about 9 I didn't really go to church anymore, mainly because I was
back staying with my parents.
So now to another thing, I have this friend that I've knows since I was 5. Her
and I have moved and kept finding each other. After the 5th move, we didn't see
much of each other, so we asked out parents if i could live with her for a school
year. They said yes, and this was the turning point in my life...
Her mother was a very religious women. We went to church every Sunday, Monday and
Wednesday. I went to a church in Hardeeville South Carolina, I think it was
called Tabernacle.. It was broadcasted in Charleston SC. eh I don't quite remember
off the top of my head, but this church was just so wonderful, upbeat, and i just
couldn't wait to go to church all those days. Now what really made it worth going
to was Evangalist John Davis, he was there almost every night of our Revival. He
touched me in a way that i can't explain. Something funny about this guy, He
loved Wrigleys gum... I bought him a couple of packs and came to church to return
the favor hes done for me.
To this day I'm still touched by that by my friends mother, John Davis, and of
course by God. He's made a big impact in my life, and I can't think of any better
way to thank Him, but by living by His way. Now I live here in Pennsylvania, and
my life is alot better.
